Enter to Guess Number of Jelly Beans Packed Inside LG’s New Super-Capacity Refrigerator for Chance to Win Ultimate Kitchen Makeover

Following the launch of its new super-capacity French-door refrigerator, the largest capacity model in its class, LG Electronics USA today announced the “LG Ultimate Jelly Bean Count Contest,” an online competition that takes Main Street USA’s favorite unofficial unit of measurement to a whole new level. The contest challenges anyone and everyone to guess how many jelly beans can fit inside the spacious refrigerator. The winner will receive a complete kitchen makeover, built around LG’s premium kitchen suite valued at more than $6,500.

The rules to enter are simple: Watch the video on LG’s Facebook page (facebook.com/LGUSA), hit the “Like” button and make up to three guesses. Entrants may share the news of the contest and an opportunity to join the fun with their Facebook friends by “gifting” a jelly bean. During each week of the contest, a winner will be drawn randomly from the pool of entrants who will receive a $100 gift card. By the end of the six-week contest, the person who comes closest to the winning number of jelly beans without going over will be declared the winner. The grand prize is an LG Ultimate Kitchen Makeover – with the new super-capacity French-door refrigerator (model LFX31925), and other premium LG appliances, including a freestanding double-oven range (model LDE3017), a steam dishwasher (model LDF7932), and an over-the-range microwave (model LMH2016).

LG’s new super-capacity French-door refrigerator offers the largest capacity of any 36-inch refrigerator currently on the market. While most 36-inch-width refrigerators offer 25 cubic feet of capacity, LG’s new super-capacity French-door refrigerator offers a spacious 31 cubic feet – the largest capacity in its class and approximately six more cubic feet of space than standard models for this footprint.

In addition to its super large capacity, LG’s new refrigerator also offers consumers the most shelf space available in a 36-inch-wide refrigerator. To accomplish this, the refrigerator includes LG’s innovative Slim SpacePlus™ feature that frees up more space inside the refrigerator. Unlike bulky icemakers that sacrifice shelf space, Slim SpacePlus relocates the ice system inside the door, making way for usable door bins and a top shelf entirely free of obstructions. With the slimmest and most effective insulation LG has ever made (23 percent thinner than previous LG models), consumers can enjoy expanded refrigerator capacity without sacrificing energy efficiency.

Mara Hoffman Designs with Skintimate…You Can TOO!

“With the upcoming launch of the new designer cans by Mara Hoffman, we thought it would be a great idea to do our own search for tomorrow’s fashion designers,” says Joanna Di Domenico, Brand Manager. “Today’s young woman looks to Skintimate to give her the smooth confidence to be their best she can be. From February 9th to March 23rd, aspiring designers will visit www.skintimatestudios.com and enter for a chance to win a two week internship with Hoffman helping her team prepare for her 2012 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim show. Contestants will upload a female dress design that conveys the theme “Ready for Everything.” In addition to the design, girls will need to answer two questions: Explain details of your design and why it represents the theme “Ready for Everything,” and share what unique qualities you posses and bring to the fashion world. Designs and essays will be judged for both versatility and original creative expression.

Skintimate, along with Hoffman, will select ten final designs which will be announced online April 21st. The finalists’ designs will premier on the Skintimate Studios website from April 21st through May 18th allowing America to cast their vote for their favorite. The winning designer will be announced online May 25th and will be given the chance to spend two weeks with Hoffman and her team in New York and Miami as she debuts her line at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim show in Miami. The nine other finalists will receive a deluxe fashion prize pack filled with must-have items to help kick start their fashion careers.

In addition to the internship search, fans 13 years of age and older can also visit the Skintimate Studios website to enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a Mara Hoffman scarf and a grand prize for one lucky girl and a guest/chaperone to go to Miami and attend Mara’s show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim show in July.
